Holy moley it has been a year already!
And I have not written anything! First of all, I would like to denounce all of those automatic machine generated 'comments' to leave me alone. They are like frigging virus/adwares.
Anyways, I have recently defected from PS2 to XBox 360. The reasons are simple. I love racing. PS2 had Gran Turismo series and that really was the anchor that kept me loyal to Sony for 10 long years.
But you know what? GT1 was great. GT2 was good. GT3 was WOW. GT4 was novel for a while and then I started asking, "this is somewhat boring . . . " Why did GT series become so sedated despite its great looks?
1. No real improvement to physics. Still cannot lock-up the wheels (which is not desired in racing but being able to do so increases satisfaction of a 'Good' drive).
2. On-line racing that was mentioned since GT3 is nowhere to be found.
3. No visual upgrades nor bodykits that improve aerodynamic performance.
4. No indication of tire temperature of pressure changes.
5. AI simply sucks balls.
6. Too many mediocre cars, not enough exciting cars, ie. Ferrari, Porsche, etc.
For a year I ignored Forza Motorsport. I could not afford XBox on top of PS2, GameCube, PSP, and DS. PS2 that I bought on 1st day of release was becoming really stale. I traded every PS2 & PSP stuff I had and received enough trade in $$$ to make an exchange for XBox360!
I love ForzaMotorsport (FM henceforth). It fills in large voids left by GT series and boy, the tire modelling is exquisite. Ferraris (most of them) are just a joy to drive and Porsche's engine wail can be heard from corners away.
Not only paint the cars, I can also design the graphics with great freedom including sponsor decals.
I am anticipating FM2 with much eagerness.
